George Dell’s Valuemetrics.Info School Policies

Admission Policy

Admission is open to anyone interested in the appraisal process.

Attendance Policy

100% Attendance is required. Student attendance is supervised by the instructor and the classroom assistant(s). All students must sign-in once in the morning and once in the afternoon.

Administrative Audit Policy

One state administrator is authorized to audit any class being taught in their state tuition free.

Cancellation, Refund and Re-Examination Policy

If the class is cancelled or postponed for reasons beyond the control of Valuemetrics.Info (e.g.: inclement weather or other overarching event), every attempt will be made to reschedule the class. Refunds will be made to those unable to attend on the new date.

If a student cancels, a $25 cancellation fee will be charged for cancellations less than 7 days prior to the start of the course. No refunds will be given for “no-shows” or cancellations after noon local time the day prior to the start of the course.

Course Scheduling Policy

All courses longer than eight classroom hours will be taught over consecutive days, not to exceed eight-hours per day

Final Examination and Grading Policy:

Continuing Education Seminars do not require examinations. This school offers only continuing education. Grading is strictly pass/fail, based on adequate attendance and professional behavior. In order to promote and preserve the public trust inherent in professional appraisal practice, an appraiser must observe the highest standard of professional behavior and ethics in a formal learning context as well as in providing appraisal services. Learning is an interactive process, affecting other students and others in their ability to perform ethically and competently.

Instructor Hiring and Subcontracting Policy:

Instructors shall be selected for specific qualifications and experience in the subject matter. No subcontractors are expected at this time.

Records Retention Policy:

Business records shall be maintained for a period of at least six years and shall be available for state regulators within 30 days, upon receipt of a written request. At a minimum, the records retained shall include:

  • Business and mailing address of course provider as on file;
  • Written records of attendance and grades for each student and
  • The principal place of business or the mailing address at which each of the instructors of accredited courses can be contacted.

In addition, a student record for each participant for a period of at least five years from the completion of the course shall be maintained. At a minimum, records shall include:

  • The state approval number for the offering;
  • Name and address of each participant;
  • Course title and hours of credit approved;
  • Date(s) of course and course completion;
  • Name and address of course provider;
  • Identity of verifier of attendance; and
  • Course grade or other evidence of satisfactory completion.

Sample of Course Completion Certificates / Issuance Policy

Special state specific completion certificates will be provided on a state-by-state basis. In most cases, course completion certificates will be issued at the end of the last day of course work to each student.

Average cost for the course is $279.00. Prices may vary depending on the community standard for each location. Our prices are usually lower than those determined to be reasonable and customary for a geographic area by history. This price includes the reference workbook supplied to the students and lunch on the first day of a two-day class.
